A very Unique pastel shoot! Oh the epic-ness!

This is possibly the proudest blog post I’ve ever written on this humble little vintage wedding blog! I’ve been sitting on this shoot since February – yes, FEBRUARY – holding on tight with anticipation, and expressing an extraordinarily amount of self control! The reason I couldn’t share it is we wanted to wait until it had appeared in the mighty first issue of Unique Bride Magazine (for gorgeous, glossy prints, buy the May/June issue of the magazine it’s out now in WH Smiths nationwide – the second issue comes out next week!) .

I want to explain a little bit about the concept behind the shoot – the idea was to produce an amazing, two-part candy-inspired shoot. We were taking the pastel pretty trend and showing how you can still express real originality within that colour palette. Pastels are a personal favourite of mine, and rather than worrying you’ll be too “samey” if you want to use those colours, I wanted to show that you can be totally unique within that.

With an amazing dream team of suppliers, a fantastic co-stylist and a very wonderful John, who deserves a mention for his amazing support on the day, driving an hour back to our house and an hour back to the set to pick up materials to finish the cake, popping out at lunch to valiantly bring everyone a baguette from the local pub.

This is somewhat unprecedented, but I’m going to put the credits at the top of the post. I want to make sure EVERYONE reads them as all of these incredible suppliers deserve real recognition for their work.
