My husband goes even further – he is part Viking, loves the cold and rain and runs the risk of spontaneously combusting in bright sunlight. When booking our summer family holiday this year Mr R was suggesting Disney world (it makes my skin crawl at the thought, but the kids would probably love it…). I asked for a breakdown of the temperature in July August. He got no further than ’30’s’ until I said, hmmm, what is the point of holidaying somewhere I WILL BE GRUMPY (then came the 90% humidity and which point I was rolling on the ground WITH LAUGHTER that he had had the audacity to even moot it as a suitable destination). We are off to Canada. There is a breeze. And it’s normally mid twenties. Which is my maximum. The northern European and Irish blood in me is strong. I am rarely cold. ]]>
