Happy Sunday everyone!
First of all I’d like to apologise again for the lack of beauty post this week. They are filmed and will resume this week but we’ve had yet another minor emergency with one of our kitty babies, Lily, who has decided to jump into the jaws of a much bigger animal and as a result has needed a lot of TLC this week!
We also have our lovely best man, Todd, staying with us this weekend. It’s the first time we’ve seen him since the wedding so we’ve been making the most of spending time with him.
Under the Vintage Veil’s highlights
♥ We fell in love with this bold, bright and beautiful fifties-inspired styled shoot!
♥ Our real bride, Jenni, gave us the goss on her dress shopping escapades in her latest journal entry.
♥ This Jenny Packham bride blew everyone away with her windswept Scottish beach wedding!
♥ We launched a little photo competition with fabulous author, J. Courtney Sullivan and Vintage Styler!
♥ Great Gatsby! We featured our first ever boudoir shoot, inspired by the roaring twenties.
Highlights from around the wedding world
♥ I found these pretty paper tassel garlands on Beyond Beyond – and the best bit is, you can make your own!
♥ We rate this chic, village hall wedding over on Rock My Wedding.
♥ Lovely Elizabeth of Bridal Musings posted this gold and black twenties wedding inspiration – drool!
♥ This real wedding on RockNRoll Bride leaves me desperately longing for a flower crown of my own…
What we’ve been up to
It’s been quite a week at Under the Vintage Veil HQ, hence the slightly reduced service. On Tuesday, we raised hundreds of pounds for the Sam Beare Hospice in Woking and remembered my dad with an open mic night memorial fundraiser. Here are some of the highlights (some of my singing may be buried in there, I was a bit emotional so excuse the screeching).
We’ve also had the great pleasure, as I mentioned earlier, of a visit from our dear friend Todd who lives overseas. He’s here on a long weekend and it’s the first time we’ve seen him since the wedding almost a year ago (how time flies). We’ve had a great time roasting veggies on the BBQ, walking in Windsor Great Park, hanging at the Kennedy Memorial and stuffing our faces at the Feast Food Festival with one of my best friends, Carys!
Here are some of the best bits from the last few days:
Have a great Sunday all, will see you tomorrow when normal service resumes (presuming our little Lily has healed herself by then)!
