Happy Monday everybody! I’m sure you all remember our real bride, Nicole! In the months leading up to her wedding, Nicole provided us with fortnightly updates about her big day plans. It was all very exciting to see her wedding day wonders unfold in front of her eyes, from licensing her venue for its very first wedding ceremony to all the little DIY details that made up the day.
We’re thrilled now to be able to bring you Nicole and hubby Colin’s real wedding. Nicole’s gorgeous wedding dress is also for sale, so if you’re interested in buying her preloved gown for your big day, drop me an email at email@example.com and I’ll put you in touch!
I’ll hand over to Nicole for her final real bride entry and her beautiful pictures.
“All the hard work paid off, we had such a fantastic day – and the sun shone which we couldn’t believe! The days before and after the wedding were really grey and cold so we were very lucky to have had the wedding outdoors liked we planned.
The few days leading up to the wedding were extremely busy but so glad I had Jayne from Kilminorth Cottages and the team working hard to ensure everything was ready for the Saturday. Suppliers started to arrive with our hired goods including the generator, portaloos, glass hire & hay bales. I’m blessed to have friends who helped me decorate and lay all the tables in the tipis as well as run round purchasing last minute items! Being a control freak I had to hand over on the actual day and trust in family and friends to pull everything together.
I had a call at 11am on the day of the wedding to say our singer had mumps. The best thing I did was book him via Alive Networks so by the time they called me with the news they had two bands on standby and I just had to choose! I went with Jaxx Band and they were fantastic! The food supplied by Shaun at Piglet Cottage was out of this world. Stunningly presented and extremely tasty, we couldn’t have found any better.
Both hair and makeup were stunning, thank you Suzi Winter and Hair By Rochelle! Our giant pavlova made by Sarah’s Pasty’s in Looe, it was so delicious and better than we could of ever imagined. A real centre piece on the dessert table.
I’m so glad we had a weekend to celebrate, everyone was so relaxed and excited about being away with friends that we have so many lovely memories. Considering it was a wedding at a new venue things ran so smoothly and to plan. The team at Kilminorth couldn’t have worked any harder and I know that any future weddings or events held there will be a truly magical experience.”
