The Vint-eco Wedding Belles

More wedding pretty for you today! We have a beautiful eco-friendly and vintage-inspired shoot on the blog for you to gaze at. The photographer is Rebecca Douglas, an eco-friendly supplier with an eye for all things soft and natural. I’ll hand over to the team to tell you all about the concept behind the shoot. And, as an extra treat, Suzanna of Make-Upps by Suzanna has listed the beauty products she used so you can get the look too and use ethical make up!

“Brought together by our collective love of vintage, seasonal and eco-friendly goodness, some Kent-based wedding suppliers collaborated to shoot the Vint-eco Wedding Belles Styled Shoot.

The shoot took place at the stunning Pines Calyx, the first wedding venue in Europe to become a ‘carbon negative’ and ‘energy positive’ building. The venue is nestled in some beautiful rolling gardens at the foot of the White Cliffs of Dover and St Margaret’s Bay. It is so serene and peaceful there and everyone enjoyed spending a day in such a beautiful natural environment.

Suzanna styled the day and brought the suppliers together as well as doing all of the models hair and make up. She used make up that is naturally produced to create gorgeous looks with bold striking lips.

Benny and Boo styled a beautiful table scene one of the reception rooms at The Pines Calyx. They are vintage lovers and had a pretty, seasonal red and gold tea set that really set the wintery tone for the shoot. Simple ingredients, that are locally sourced, are all that go into the cakes and treats – none of the chemicals you find in shop bought cakes.

The dresses are genuine 1950s and 1960s dress from Delpierre Antiques and Vintage Clothing in Deal, that retro that you can’t visit a website, you have to go to Margey’s treasure trove of a store. She accessorised the dresses with timeless vintage pieces to really finish the look.

The beautiful blooms were designed with seasonal colours and crops in mind. Joanne even designed one bouquet using vintage brooches that were her grandmothers as inspiration. I think this was a favourite of the day.

Rebecca Douglas captured the day in a soft, natural style showcasing the work of other local suppliers. Her packaging is sustainably sourced and handmade and one of her albums is from an eco-friendly UK based supplier.
