A beautiful Flossy & Dossy real bride on a boat – Dillon and Rosalyn

Today’s real wedding was submitted by the divine Kristin of Struve Photography and really caught my eye because the bride is wearing a dress by the indescribably talented Flossy & Dossy. I know first hand how wonderful Wendy is as she made my bridesmaids’ dresses. A month before my wedding. And they were perfect.

I love everything about this real wedding, from the boat to the decorations to the look of sheer joy and emotion on the groom’s face. I love a groom caught in the moment when he sees his bride for the first time – it always gives me the weepies! Anyway I’ll hand over to Rosalyn, our gorgeous bride, to tell you all about her big day:

“We got married at Cafebarge, Tarbert then had our reception at the Anchor Hotel Tarbert. We chose it cause of beautiful location and our first holiday together was in Argyll – we fell in love with the 100 year old barge and had confidence in the owner Michael –  that it would be a well organised event. The Anchor Hotel across the road from it was beautiful for our wedding breakfast as the food is great and had a lovely function suite. We both have a soft spot for Scottish fishing villages  – it was the first wedding the barge had had and the sun shone all day ! It was a perfect venue and I thought it was a wee bit different! We had a humanist wedding – and our celebrant Annie Laughlin is based near Tarbert and was so lovely – the ceremony was poignant, romantic and emotional”

“I designed my dress with Wendy of Flossy and Dossy. She just knew exactly what I wanted – it was simple and pretty and I loved the detail at the back and the sash with the bow. I actually tried on loads of dresses and I did not find one that I really liked – so after looking at loads of designs and styles this was ideal for me! Wendy’s designs are fantastic and the quality of her dresses are second to none – she also is an absolute pleasure to deal with and very patient.

“Our photographer, Kristen, was recommended by Flossy and Dossy and was perfect option for us. She is passionate about her work and is a lovely person. We had our engagement shoot with her in St Monans and she made myself and Dillon so comfortable and relaxed – her photography is stunning. We didn’t want anything too cheesy and I love my photos. She captured the fun of the day and the love that Dillon and I have for each other – she used a second shooter from Nottingham Hannah from Lifeline Photography – a very talented girl!!”

“We never had a videographer, which actually I regret now. I just never thought about it until afterwards. It would be nice to have seen the ceremony again – it was very emotional and passed in a blur – so I would say brides should rethink getting one.”
