Veilbash final recap – the official party pics by Sacco & Sacco

Veilbash party pictures – the final chapter of the story

Sacco & Sacco saves the day

Every major event has it’s little hiccough. Picture this: it’s the afternoon on the day of #veilbash when our original event photographer is taken ill and is unable to attend the party. Cue a moment of rather undignified panic, and thrusting the phone a la Naomi Campbell (I didn’t throw it, I swear) at poor Meryl, who kept the coolest head I’ve ever seen. Fortunately for the Under the Vintage Veil team, Jayne from Sacco & Sacco was just a phone call away – and was all too willing to kindly jump in and save the day! Without a brief or anything to go on, Jayne captured the event so beautifully and, looking through the pictures today, all of the amazing memories and excited butterflies came flooding back. I’d like to say a special thank you to Jayne for, well, being my hero! So let me explain to you what you’re seeing in these gorgeous photos…

Guests being pampered

Our lucky guests had Hairport UK on hand to give them glam dos before (and during) the party! I was among those carefully coiffed (as well as all the models) and have to say Hairport were not only fabby fab fab (as pointed out in so many of the reviews of the event) but also really chilled, lovely and fun to work with!

Speaking of chilled, I am the luckiest girl in the world, because my mum is a pampering expert. In fact, she runs Pure Pampering Parties, who turn up at your events, weddings, hen parties, girls’ nights in etc. and at a price per head give you lovely, holistic treatments. Their treatment menus stretch much further, but for Veilbash they were on hand (healing hand…s) to tend to guests’ sore feet and shoulders. People wandered out of there looking seriously blissed out, and I don’t blame them! Pure Pampering Parties is the perfect treat especially if you’re having a quiet, chill out area at your wedding like we are!

Tasty treats

The beautiful, tiered Under the Vintage Veil birthday cake in the pictures was provided by the exceptionally lovely Emma of Cake Maison. Her design was absolutely inspirational, incorporating the vintage burlesque club feel of the venue, with a gorgeous hint of corset, and black lace overlaying the bright pink colours from the brief. She literally took the cake out of my imagination and baked it. Then I tasted it. Oh my goodness, you wouldn’t believe how delicious this cake was if I tried to describe it – moist, rich, delectable!

Her stunning cake was complimented by a beautifully elegant dessert table by Purely Events. Louise literally also jumped in days before the event offering her amazing services and I couldn’t have been happier. Not only were guests happily munching all night but it couldn’t have looked prettier, especially with pretty signs made just for the table by Jinder, of the Finer Details, who was one of the world’s most helpful and friendly people in jumping in and helping me to organise last-minute details.

Amelia from Vintage Floral Teas did an exceptional job with the flowers. Pretty much everybody commented on how much they loved the flowers. In fact, she followed the brief to the last letter, with beautiful sprayed metallic roses that people could hardly believe were real! It was such a treat to take home some of the arrangements at the end of the night and hand them out to happy friends and family members the next day!

My outfit

A little indulgent, but people have asked about my outfit, and I want to give the amazing suppliers who worked so hard on it their dues – I wore a Charlotte Bridal gown (read more about its creation here) with stunning vintage-inspired accessories (a beautiful necklace, which I wear pretty much every day, even in my PJs and a stunning bracelet, which you can see close up when I cut the cake!) from Olivier Laudus. My hair was done by Hairport UK (as previously mentioned) and the amazing, unstoppable Joyce from Brides and Beauty did my make up – after valiantly making up every single model and several other guests. Without stopping. For about six hours. Amazing.

The music

We couldn’t have had a better DJ. Sam kept the party going with his fantastic choice of tracks, everyone was up on the dancefloor, even while the staff were sweeping up around them. I can’t praise Sam enough, he was professional, classy and not a cheesy tune to be heard. I would book Sam in a heartbeat and I’m a total music control freak – if anyone wants to book Sam for a wedding or event, or to recommend him to your brides, please get in touch and I’ll get his details to you.

Wait, it’s not over yet…

Guests went away with goodie bags, not only stuffed with details of our wonderful event suppliers, and a special industry guide from Under the Vintage Veil, but these delectable treats from Suhaav, unique, exquisite and delicious food and event styling. Not only are Indi and Immy the nicest girls on the planet but their cake pops were just sublime. A totally unique and fabulous taste, as well as a gorgeous, delicate design – with sparkles!

And last but by no means least, Pure Pampering Parties’ sister company Lorraine Doron Aromatherapy left a sample of their signature scent, Seduction, so you could all freshen up on the journey home!
