Good afternoon everyone. Today I’d like to share a message with you from my friends at Keech Hospice Care. Keech Hospice Care offers support to children with life-limiting conditions across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, and adults from Luton and South Beds. Care at the hospice focuses on helping children to enjoy the highest quality of life – controlling their pain and other distressing symptoms, offering practical and emotional support, and providing a range of treatments and therapies including complementary therapies, music and hydrotherapy. Today they’re on the blog to tell you all about their charity wedding favours and how having these favours at your wedding can make a direct difference to a child’s quality of life. Please give them a warm welcome and share this where you can:
What are charity wedding favours?
Weddings favours are a tricky subject, many people hate the idea of giving wedding favours that comprise of nothing more than a flimsy cardboard box with sugared almonds or mini chocolates that guests will eat and discard. Other keepsake wedding favours such as trinkets are expensive and often regarded as cheesy or irrelevant. So why not decided on charity wedding favours?
Keech Hospice Care offers wedding favours as a gift twice over – once to your guests and again to the local hospice. You are able to enjoy your big day, safe in the knowledge that this gift will make a real difference to our patients and their families. Instead of a little gift, why not add to your guests’ excitement by giving them the chance of winning up to £1000?
The favours couldn’t be simpler. Instead of a gift, each guest is given a beautifully presented piece of paper with a unique six-digit number, and the lucky winning numbers are selected at random every Friday by the lottery computer. Players have the opportunity to win weekly prizes of £1000, £250, £50, £25, £10 and all profits from Keech Hospice Care’s lottery go towards helping Keech Hospice Care run its adult and children’s hospices.
The favours are just £1.50 each (£1 for entry into the draw plus a 50p administration cost) and come in a choice of silver or oyster. They are personalised to each wedding guest and can also include a message from the bride and groom. Entry into the Keech Lottery can only be arranged for guests over the age of 16 but for any children at the wedding, the charity can print their name on a favour c/o their parent or guardian.

How the Wedding favours help:
♥ Only 13 favours bought could help a patient to enjoy a fun or soothing activity – story time, messy play, arts and crafts and more.
♥ 26 favours bought could pay for more than an hour of 1-1 nursing support for a patient.
♥ 52 favours bought could help provide bereavement counselling for a family member.
