A 1920s bride lost in London

Happy Friday (once again!) I guess I’m just very happy it’s Friday. Looking forward to the White Gallery over the next few days plus going to see the awesome Charlotte at Charlotte Bridal tomorrow to try on the mock up of my beautiful dress for Under the Vintage Veil’s first birthday party! So today seemed an appropriate day to share some more of her amazing work with you. Shot by Carla Thomas, and second shot by Emanuela Redaschi I loved the concept and styling of this beautiful, London-loving shoot! Over to Carla Ramsey, the lead make-up artist, to tell you a bit more about the shoot:

“We all met in Mayfair to shoot around that area of the city. Even though we live in a modern city, Mayfair still has its history, as though it has never aged but the buildings around it have evolved. The meeting of our historical landmarks with modern, urban development is what makes London so interesting and beautiful.

So our idea was to capture that feeling with a gorgeous bridal fashion shoot. A young, glamorous 1920s bride (but with a modern twist) lands in 2012, bringing together the modern and historical aspects of the cityscape around her. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed shooting them!”
