Squee! Yes, that’s a word. I know I’m a bit hyper for a Wednesday morning, but when you gotta share, you just gotta share. So this is possibly one of my favourite features in the history of my little vintage wedding blog. Everything about these amazing photographers is like cat nip for Sara. Cotton Candy Wedding Photography is a team of two very gorgeous and creative ladies who specialise in alternative, vintage photography. Looking through their site is like flipping through the world’s coolest wedding magazine. Love it love it love it!
But enough gushing, here’s what Gemma and Philippa had to say about this stunning shoot, which took place on Southsea Seafront in Portsmouth – and I think you’ll all agree that Shannon is one breathtaking bride.
“For her wedding day Shannon wanted her make-up to be quite natural looking and her hair to be pretty and simple. For the shoot she wanted to do the opposite, she wanted to create a dark, smokey eye look with a more of a Rock N’ Roll feel. To create the look we contacted the amazing people over at LARS LUAN and make-up artist Claire Alker.”
On the dress Shannon said: “I tried on what seemed alot of dresses and eventually found the perfect one on the website “Preloved“. I got in touch with the lady selling the dress and made arrangements to meet up to try it on. It fitted like a glove and I knew straight away it was the dress for me. It just felt so right. I didn’t have to make any alterations at all.”
