Cocktail hour at the rose garden – a stunning love shoot

Having worked with Laura from Babb Photo on a winter shoot, I know first-hand how talented she is. That’s why, when she tells me she’s sending me a submission, I know it’s going to be nothing short of breathtaking. I’ll let the bride (and the photos) do the talking now! Here’s Fiona and Liam’s love shoot:

“When Liam and I got married last summer, we had a full eight weeks to organise it, and so we were unable to get hold of the photographer we wanted (Laura Babb) for the day. Instead we organised to have a short photoshoot with her a few weeks after the wedding, meaning we could have the perfect, chilled out, low-budget wedding day that we’d hoped for, but still get some lovely photos for the two of us to pester our grandkids with in years to come.”

“The styling of the shoot came about quite organically. Liam and I bought this old drinks cabinet from Deptford Market for a steal when we first moved in together, and the idea of creating a cocktail hour in the Rose Garden at Alexandra Palace was too good to miss! We did worry that there may be some issues with us setting up a bar in the grounds, but fortunately an antiques fair coincided with our shoot, so the grounds were heaving with 20th century furniture and artwork, and we barely stood out.”

“Working with Laura was nothing short of brilliant. She and her second shooter (aka her fiancé, Pete) kept us smiling and laughing throughout the shoot, and then presented us with these beautiful images. We couldn’t have hoped for more!”
