Re-name the blog competition!

As some of you may be aware, for reasons beyond my control the blog is re-branding.

While it is naturally disappointing, it is also an opportunity to take the blog to a new level – and to re-brand together, as a community.

Last night I put out a call for competition prizes, and boy is the winner in for a big treat! The winner of this competition will receive:

♥ A love shoot with the one and only Eliza of Eliza Claire Photography. *

Eliza specialises in photographing couples in love, in a relaxed and natural way that shows real emotion in her images.  She’s based in Buckinghamshire, and describes her photography style as “a little bit quirky, a little bit vintage, fun and honest.”

Eliza says: “I truly believe that everyone can photograph well, it’s about capturing the *real* you, not the inane-grinning-at-the-camera you that happens when someone shouts “Smile!”

♥ A corset from Charlotte Bridal in royal blue or pale pink satin – Charlotte Bridal corsets can reduce the natural waist by up to four inches. They can be made as day wear, evening wear, lingerie or even as part of your wedding dress.

♥ A vintage tea party for up to 15 guests with Calamitea Jane’s Vintage, including afternoon tea, worth £9.50 per head and an optional vintage hair and make up tutorial. Perfect for hen parties or birthdays! **

♥ A Mad Hatters Tea Party box of homemade goodies from Delicieux Designer Cakes , including shortbread, boozy fruitcake, creamy fudge and a variety of delicious biscuits.

♥ A personalised private dance lesson in the comfort of your own home from Magic Steps. A fantastic instructor will travel to you and put you through your paces with a one-hour dance lesson any time that suits you! Perfect for a first dance – or just to brush up on your steps.

♥ A £150 voucher redeemable against anything from Charlotte Rose Designs. Vintage headpieces, bridal jewellery and all-round stunning pieces.

♥ And an incredible goodie bag, including
– A pack of 10 gorgeous Storybook Greeting Cards, based on the Storybook wedding range, from Knots and Kisses.
– Abeautiful Antique Postcard Scene Lavender-Scented Pillow from Sesame and Lilly.
An exceptionally cute freshwater pearl and Swarovski crystal bracelet from Lobster Love
– Tartan cushion cover from Little Legs Baby Kilts.
A £50 voucher for Love Illustrated, redeemable against bespoke invitations or the Etsy shop range.
– A beautiful, personalised, hand-painted vintage sign from Vintage Pixie
An inspiring Love Letters print from Landscapes 365.
- A personalised “Mr & Mrs” sign from Hush Baby Sleeping.
- A handmade Swarovski ring by the luscious LaBoutique Southsea.
- And last, but by no means least, a luscious framed print of Paris from David Wickham Photography’s Modern Vintage collection.

SO those are the unbelievable prizes – whoever wins this haul is going to be a very happy bunny, I suspect. So what do you have to do?

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is leave a comment with as many name suggestions as you like. But get in quickly, because the only stipulation is you have to be the first to suggest it. So check the comments before you carefully to make sure nobody’s already suggested your idea.

To help you along the way, think of distressed furniture, French boudoir style, country garden, lace, soft florals, feminine overtones and everything you’d associate with this very popular trend.

Suggestions will be open until Saturday 26th November at 7pm. I will then shortlist three finalists and then the competition will re-open for 48 hours as you guys will get to vote for your favourite name! The winner will not only have re-named the blog (and will be immortalised on the “About Me” section of the site) but will also receive this massive, crazy amazing bundle of prizes! Good luck!!

Terms and conditions

The competition is open to everyone within the UK, but two of the prize can only be claimed within England due to travel restrictions:

*The photoshoot prize with Eliza Claire Photography is for a couples shoot to take place at a mutually agreeable time and within an hour of Eliza’s base in Buckinghamshire – this is anywhere between Birmingham and London, and Oxford and Cambridge roughly.  Eliza is also quite often in Brighton and Bristol, and is planning a trip to Manchester soon, so if you can be flexible around dates, this is also a possibility.

**The Tea Party prize with Calamitea Jane’s Vintage must take place on a Saturday daytime or evening between January 7th and March 30th 2012. The maximum number of guests is 15 and the booking needs to be confirmed by 7th December 2011.
