When the lovely Carol of AprhoditeNet Wedding Photography sent me this styled Autumn wedding shoot, I couldn’t wait to share it with you all! I think you’ll all agree that the phenomenal quality of these fantastic rustic detailed photos shows just how amazing the team behind this is… Over to Carol to tell you about the shoot in her own words!
Modern vintage continues to be big news as we go into autumn, with traditional country crafts being resurrected throughout the UK and retro-style weddings, complete with vintage china table settings, continuing to be popular… we incorporated some of this modern vintage style into our photo shoot, with an added Kentish inspired twist!

In Carol’s words
We used wedding dresses from ‘Forever Yours’ bridal boutique of Rye, East Sussex, and commissioned some gorgeous vintage inspired jewellery from Lizzie of ‘La Chic Unique’. Tiggy of ‘Tiggy Johnson Bespoke Florist’ and ‘Idyllic Days’ created the bouquets and organised all the vintage accessories for us, including those provided by ‘Vintage Amethyst’. With rustic detail playing such an important part in the shoot, the rustic hamper provided by Kent caterer ‘Home Gurr’own’ certainly lived up to expectation! Started by Nicci and Julian Gurr, ‘Home Gurr’own’ produces fine cooked food for weddings, functions and farmer’s markets. They use seasonal Kent ingredients and their own home grown produce.
With such a strong creative team involved in this shoot, we had to look for a special venue, and used The House Meadow at Biddenden, Kent. The House Meadow is a unique wedding venue – a working farm set in the beautiful Kent countryside, with plenty of rustic country charm! Clare of The House Meadow gave us a warm welcome, and was on hand all day to help our model, Jamie, with dress and accessory changes. Jamie was professional throughout, and managed to maintain a composed smile even during the most blustery of shots!
It was a pleasure to take the photos, and we hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we enjoyed taking them!
